Message Of Deputy Commissioner

The Ministry of Education of the Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh has formulated the National Education Policy 2010. This is our attempt to implement the said education policy. I believe that cultural practices are essential for the creation of a cultured, elegant, tradition-conscious orderly nation and civic group. Culture includes painting, music, recitation, and other arts.

There was no institutional art or cultural center in the divisional city of Sylhet. I think the establishment of this institution has fulfilled a dream in Sylhet division. There is no substitute for cultivating culture to move a country forward. So, I can easily say that there is no shortage of needs for Institute this society. Nowadays, there are other subjects associated with fine arts in college which is very good news for us.

I hope this organization will do much better in the future.

Sylhet, as there is no institutional institution for fine arts or other arts, The Sylhet Art and Autism Foundation was formed in 2012 in collaboration with the district administration. “Sylhet Arts College” was established in 2020 through “Sylhet Art and Autism Foundation”. The College is located at Kumarpara in Sylhet city and has one acre of land in the town.

The Sylhet Art and Autism Foundation won the Joy Bangla Youth Award by CRI (Center for Research and Information) in 2018 for cultural development.

I sincerely remember that the founding principal Arvind Das Gupta gave a lot of effort to establish this college and was sincere towards the college till his last bre..

Nashid Kamal (born 19 March) is a Bangladeshi vocalist, writer and professor of demography. She is the eldest granddaughter of Bengali folk singer Abbasuddin Ahmed. Kamal is widely regarded as a Nazrul exponent. For her contributions to Nazrul’s works, she has received awards including the Nazrul Award from the Nazrul Academy in 2009 and Nazrul Padak from the Nazrul Institute in 2014.
